Frontier Airlines today announced it will add service between Knoxville and Orlando, FL. The new service will operate three days each week beginning March 15.
With the new flights, Frontier will be flying to two destinations nonstop from Knoxville and seven destinations nonstop from Orlando.
The flights between Knoxville and Orlando International Airport will be on 138-seat Airbus 319 aircraft.
“We’re very pleased to bring Frontier’s low-fare, high-value service to this route,” said Robert Westgate, senior director of planning and scheduling for Frontier. “While other airlines are abandoning this route, we’re confident that our better and different service will appeal to both leisure and business travelers.”
Introductory fares for the new route begin at only $59 one way and are available at FrontierAirlines.com through Jan. 22 for travel through May 22.
The flights will leave McGhee Tyson Airport at 7:11 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving in Orlando at 8:45 a.m.
The flights will depart Orlando at 8:10 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, arriving in Knoxville at 9:43 a.m.
