Interstate 40 in Tennessee has been ranked the best road in the U.S., according to the nation's truck drivers in Overdrive Magazine's Highway Report Card. This is the third year in a row that I-40 has ranked number 1.  For the 10th year in a row, truckers rated Tennessee's overall road system as 3rd best in the nation in a tie with Georgia. Overdrive Magazine conducts the annual survey which ranks the nation's roads by those that use them most. 

Site Selection's 2008 State Business Climate survey ranked Tennessee as the second state in the country with the best business climate. Among the strengths cited by numerous corporate executives were the state's incentives offerings, tax climate, work force, higher education resources and economic development team. Tennessee is fourth in the nation for best business climate, according to a new survey by Development Counsellors, International. The comprehensive assessment polled corporate executives with site selection responsibilities to determine the states they perceived as having the most effective strategies and techniques in economic development marketing.
