• Business Facilities, a national economic development publication, issued its annual 2010 Rankings Report and Tennessee, along with many cities throughout the state, earned top honors.  The Volunteer State was ranked number one in the nation for Automotive Manufacturing Strength, number two for Economic Growth Potential and number five for Best Business Climate. • Interstate 40 in Tennessee has been ranked the best road in the U.S., according to the nation's truck drivers in Overdrive Magazine's Highway Report Card. This is the third year in a row that I-40 has ranked number 1.  For the 10th year in a row, truckers rated Tennessee's overall road system as 3rd best in the nation in a tie with Georgia. Overdrive Magazine conducts the annual survey which ranks the nation's roads by those that use them most. 
  
  
• Site Selection's 2008 State Business Climate survey ranked Tennessee as the second state in the country with the best business climate. Among the strengths cited by numerous corporate executives were the state's incentives offerings, tax climate, work force, higher education resources and economic development team.
