Allegiant adds nonstop flights from Knoxville to Myrtle Beach

Nonstop flights from Knoxville to Myrtle Beach begin April 22...

Allegiant Air will begin nonstop flights from Knoxville to Myrtle Beach on April 22, officials announced Thursday.

The only low fare service between the two cities will launch with two flights weekly from McGhee Tyson Airport to Myrtle Beach International Airport.

The flights are on Thursdays and Sundays. They depart Knoxville at 12:35 p.m. and arrive in Myrtle Beach at 1:50 p.m.

Allegiant says the return flights will leave Myrtle Beach at 4:25 p.m. and arrive in Knoxville at 5:40 p.m.

The airline will use 150-seat, MD-80 series, jet-aircraft for the flights.
