More direct flights from East TN to Denver coming soon

Allegiant announced it will soon offer direct flights from Knoxville's McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) to Denver International Airport (DEN) in a news release.

The airline will start providing the flights in May for the seasonal route, which will have two flights each week, the release said.

To celebrate the new route, the airline will have fares as low as $69 each way-- as long as you purchase your flight between January 16 and August 13 of this year.

“With today’s announcement, Allegiant continues to increase its base of operation at McGhee Tyson Airport,” Eddie Mannis, chairman of the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority, said in the release. “Denver is a popular destination for the travelers in our region. This new service provides additional low-fare flights to the Rocky Mountains, concerts at Red Rock Amphitheatre or the end zone at Mile High Stadium. We appreciate Allegiant’s continued commitment to McGhee Tyson Airport and to building a strong foundation of air service for East Tennessee travelers.”
