Grainger County

Located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Grainger County is home to a variety of industries including agriculture, manufacturing, and retail trades. Local products manufactured in the county include canvas, body armor, furniture, manufactured housing, air and heating systems, metalized film and truck chassis.

The 100-acre industrial park has easy access to Interstate 40, which stretches between North Carolina and California and Interstate 81, which extends from East Tennessee to the Canadian border.

With exceptionally reliable power from TVA, an abundance of water, a workforce skilled in many trade specialties, low tax rates, affordable buildings and sites, competitive workers compensation rates and low unionization, Grainger County is an excellent business location.

The County also offers an excellent lifestyle.  With two large lakes, two beautiful rivers, and thousands of acres of forest, Grainger County is a sportsman’s paradise. Hiking, canoeing, fishing, hunting, sailing, water skiing, and hang gliding are all available to outdoor enthusiasts.

Cherokee and Norris Lakes are popular with boaters and anglers, and attract thousands of visitors from around the country each year. The Holston River and Clinch River offer excellent kayaking and canoeing and Clinch Mountain offers great hiking opportunities.
